Think Spring – Punxsutawney Phil told us we’re in for an early one (and he had better not be wrong). With less ice and snow, I find more motivation to cast away my winter-hermit tendencies, recommit to my health and fitness (who needs New Year’s Reso-lutions anyway?), and volunteer more in my community.
Do you want to volunteer more, too? Irish luck is on your side, because our KCBA offers plenty of volunteer opportunities with-in our community – short term and long term. Short-term oppor-tunities include the Pro Bono Clinic, Family Law Clinic, and our newly minted Expungement Clinic – whose premiere will hap-pen this May! If long-term volunteer work is your style, please reach out to us so we may perhaps connect you with United Way, Big Brothers Big Sisters, or our very own K-Central Mock Trial Team!
“If you want to be a true professional, you will do something outside yourself. Something to repair tears in your community. Something to make life a little better for people less fortunate than you. That’s what I think a meaningful life is – living not for oneself, but for one’s community.” – Justice Ruth Bader Gins-burg
Details for these clinics can be found within our Annotations, or by reaching out to our Executive Director – Jennifer Antisdale. We look forward to seeing you volunteer alongside us soon!
